Everything we do, be it in our residences or work areas, always has its own outcomes. Among the most concerning problem is the contamination of our breathable air. Dust,smoke,virues and spores from fungi are some of the air contaminants. If not removed from our air the contaminants cause harmful effects like respiratory diseases and destruction of the O-zone layer.
The air we breathe is rid of contaminants by devices we call air purifiers. The benefits of using air purifiers are enjoyed largely by people with allergies. Presence of contaminants in the air may worsen the conditions of such people. Air cleaners have also been made for industries emitting fumes, dust or smoke. Safety is thereby increased in these industries.

There are some three things to consider before going for a purifier. Air purifier manufacturers lure their consumers by use of these three things. The noise emanating from the purifier is one thing. Effective air purifiers may become uncomfortable if too noisy.
Also put into consideration the duration of time it takes before replacing parts of the purifiers. Lastly, consider how much power the air cleaner consumes as it works or on standby.
Heat is used by thermo air cleaners to remove contaminats. The air passing through them is heated. Bacteria, virus or fungi are killed by the heat before passing out of the cleaner. Before releasing air to the atmosphere, it is cooled slightly. Contaminants like dust not affected by heat cool down and settle and thereby are not released from the purifier.
The other type of air cleaners are the Ultraviolet air purifiers. Ultraviolet rays are found within the purifiers. The air pollutants are eliminated from the air by being sterilized by the rays. The pollutants will not be removed entirely but inactivated such that they are harmless.
High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) air purifiers are the other type of air cleaners. They work by use of trapping materials. If air is contaminated with physical contaminants such as dust, this is the ideal purifier. Particles like dust and dust are trapped and do not leave the cleaner. Depending on the amount of contaminants in the air this filters requires replacement of parts. An advantage is that it can be used together with the other purifiers.
Finally, we have the activated carbon air purifier. Adsorption is applied by these filters to clean air. Non-solid matter in the air is converted into solid matter. The HEPA air purifier can be used together with this air cleaner.
